How we do it
Most gate hardware is put on by welding shops. B&B Locksmith approaches gates as a security problem first. We weld mesh panels onto gates so no one can reach through and open them from the inside, install interlocking latch guards (welded or screwed on) so the latch can't be pried or shimmed, and we modify gates to take high-security, weatherproof and vandal-resistant electric strikes instead of the cheap units that fail in a season. We install mechanical and digital standalone keypads made for gates and do the welding needed to mount them solidly. For heavy and oversized gates we fit heavy-duty closers, and we custom-modify closers for pool gates and other gates that a standard closer can't handle, so the gate closes and latches every time.

People reach through our gate and open it from the inside. Can you stop that?
Yes. We weld mesh panels onto the gate around the lock and handle so no one can reach through from the outside and open it. It's one of the most effective fixes for apartment, HOA, and commercial gates, and we match the mesh to the gate so it looks like part of it.
Why have a locksmith install the gate lock instead of a welding shop?
Because we start from security. A welding shop can mount hardware, but often fits a cheap strike or lock that rusts, gets forced, or fails in a season. We install weatherproof, vandal-resistant electric strikes and gate keypads, and we do the welding and modifications needed to mount them properly, so the gate actually stays secure.
